Closure of Newhall Veterinary Centre

It is with great sadness that we are informing all clients of the permanent closure of Newhall Veterinary Centre as of September 30th 2024.

It will be ‘business as usual’ until we close at 6pm on Sep 30th and we will be available to transfer medical records to the veterinary practice of your choice until Oct 31st thus ensuring a smooth transition of care for your pets.

If your pets are on repeat medications we can supply 3-6 months to ensure you do not run out (dependent on the medical condition in question and when your pet was last examined).

Flea and worm treatments can be supplied for a longer period of time if you pet has been seen within the past 12 months.

We appreciate that our closure may cause disappointment and inconvenience and we, as a team, will do all we can to help clients and their pets during this time. If you have any questions please speak to our staff who will do their best to help you.

The veterinary profession has suffered a staffing crisis since 2019 which has led to a national shortage of vets and nurses. Despite our best efforts we have been unable to recruit another vet to the staff and, despite having a great team around her, our vet Morna Lincoln can no longer continue as the only vet, those of you who know us well will be aware that as our only vet she works six days every week and has been unable to have any reasonable time off in the past five years and sadly this situation is unsustainable.

We have been privileged to serve the community, our clients and their much-loved pets and this is a decision which we have tried our very best to avoid making. Sadly, having explored every possibility we have been unable to secure an alternative outcome and it is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of our forthcoming closure.

We thank you for your custom, we have loved serving you and caring for your pets and we shall miss you all.
